Creating journals has long been a part of my Book Binding practice. I use only high quality hides in rich colors for my journals. Each binding pattern is designed by me and hand sewn with Irish linen thread yielding a sturdy and durable journal. The paper in my journals is a 40 lb, text weight paper from Mohawk. With an eggshell finish, this paper is a delight to the hand and pen.

Each journal is made entirely by hand in my binding studio near Charlotte, NC.

Leather is an organic, natural material. Journal covers may have small hide marks, bug bites, brands, or barbed wire marks that show the life of the leather. Your journal cover will obtain a beautiful patina over time, reflecting the story you and your journal tell together.
