During the Pandemic shut down, I was able to take additional book binding classes on Zoom! Which gave me lots of sparkles of joy during that dark time. This particular structure is inspired by a sewn board binding. The board reinforcement is sewn in and the end sheets are tipped in to the text block. I used black book cloth to reinforce the spine lining. The mulberry, decorative paper is used to case in the text block.

My journals are designed and handmade by me in my North Carolina studio. Everything I make creates a spark of joy in me. That spark of joy is carefully packed with your journal and is humbly and generously shared with you.
